This is the second time i eat at Terra. The staff is amazing, always kind and welcoming . The chef transforms simple ingredients into amazing dishes. clean, sustainable, zero waste. The wines are carefully chosen and the place is super cozy!

This is not a typical restaurant and one does not go there to have a typical dinner. To me, dining at Terra means setting sail for a journey made of flavours and stories. The menu is carefully put together to give you an extraordinary experience, from the first bite till the last drop of wine. You can learn about each dish from the staff, who tell you about its origin and its process. All the dishes in their menu are a combination of Italian principles and local ingredients. Clearly there are long hours of study and experimentation behind. The passion they put into what they do is undeniable and I like to imagine the chef waking up at night with great ideas about the next menu. And that is what I truly love about this place: they do care.

Absolutely fantastic food and wine. Brave, thought-provoking and most importantly, tasty. Every single one of our 9 dishes left us with a long lasting impression.

Taste is subjective. The food is well prepared and there is no fault in the craftsmanship, but what I found lacking was a match between the ambition of the kitchen and the taste that came out on the plate. The appetisers looked appetising but were drenched in lovage (løvstikke) and to my taste quite inedible. The dishes that followed were cold (including the broth) and though some of them were tasty the flavours didn’t really find the balance between salt/sour and sweet. Some people love variations of celeriac, I’m not one of them. Best dish was the pumpkin filled pasta, well composed and at the level we had expected. The red dish was a variation on vitello tonnato - painted with beetroot (why?) and beneath a purée of chestnut (too sweet to my taste). Service was friendly and efficient.

My 3 star rating is for our overall experience, not for the food quality, because the all the dishes on the 5 course menu was exceptionally good. However this menu should take about 2.5 hours according to the restaurant homepage when you reserve a table, but we received the last course 3 hours 45 minutes after we arrived. This slowness partially ruined the night, because it was a little bit of a struggle to wait 30-40 minutes for each courses. I would still recommend this place, but be aware of the time especially if you are planning something after dinner.
