Wavepiston

Wavepiston is located in Helsingør, Denmark on Kronborg 10. Wavepiston is rated 5 out of 5 in the category energy supplier in Denmark. In Wavepiston we have developed a very promising technology to harvest the energy from waves, both for electricity production and desalination of sea water (producing freshwater). Wave energy has a huge potential, is a stable resource and is very predictable compared to wind energy. The technology is protected by a broad, conceptual patent. It has been tested and verified in a wave tank, a small scale pilot in the sea and latest in a consortium with Vryhof Anchors, Fiellberg and the Technical University of Denmark we have tested our prototype in the North Sea. We are now preparing the first full-scale system to be installed in Gran Canaria in 2020. We make wave power competitive!
