Verden opstod ved et tilfælde.. - Da først vandet var væk, gik resten som en leg. Skaberen af Verdenskortet, Søren Poulsen, blev født i 1888 i Danmark. Efter en tid i Amerika vendte han tilbage til sin hjemegn, hvor han overtog sit barndomshjem ved Klejtrup Sø. Da man en dag skulle afvande de omkringliggende enge, dukkede en sten, der mindede meget om Jylland, frem. Da fik Søren Poulsen idéen til at bygge sin egen lille verden… Med primitive hjælpemidler blev store sten flyttet ud på isen om vinteren og anbragt der, hvor de skulle bruges. Når foråret kom, kunne stenene vippes på plads, og langsomt tog verdenskortet sin form…

We expected to spend 15 mins before going again. But in the end we had stayed for more than 1 hour longer than we expected. There were animals, playing grounds, really nice staff, the map was creative and well executed, there were row boats for kids, the food was great. It's nothing over the top, but went beyond my expectations and I think it's a nice place for a family with kids. :)

A good place to go and check out especially if you have a family with small children. Lots of activities, small petting zoo, plus a relatively big map of the world where children can play but also learn the different countries, where they are situated and how their flag looks. They also have a BBQ area, where you can use one of their gas grills and cook your own food. they also have a small restaurant in case you get hungry and need a quick snack

Nice place for a family trip. The map is the main attraction and impressive, especially when considering the very well told story around the creation. Several small farm animals to watch and learn about increase the time spent. The maze is bound to be more fun once it is fully grown, but a very good idea.

Lares Munkholm

This is a brilliant place to visit with a four year old. We were there for a birthday party, and there was lots of stuff to do. Apart from the map, they have giant jumping cushons, stilts, hamocks, animal and more. You won't be bored here if you just have a little imagination. The food was good as well and the staff were nice people.

Funny enough idea, but does not really deliver. This is probably something that smaller children will find entertaining, which in itself is reason enough to go, at least ones. But if you aren't in the area already, then I would probably look for something else to do.
