Decent dorms, clean. The single rooms are kind of small but okay for one person with the rent being 5-6000 DKK a month. If you want to rent there, keep in mind that the administration might ask you to pay your rent every three months.

The bad stuff: Those 33 meter rooms are actually 20m2. They just count the common space and the storage in the basement as something we can “enjoy” in our rent. There is very little sense of community or shared spaces. That’s not due to the lack of the students interest. Bike thefts are common and the building owners do not seem to care. We do not know if the camera even works. You cannot park your bike in the basement despite there being space. If you want to do a laundry and use the dryer, it will come at around 10. The halls and basement often smell funny. Kitchen Sink in the “flat” / dorm often stinks (holes are too big, food falls on it, gets stuck in the bottom). The bed is an extended couch. Not a mattress, not good if you have back problems. Several students have opted to bring their own mattresses. The good stuff: Despite everything else, it is normally quiet and you can find a sense of calm in the flat. You can get a decent view if you are facing the park. PS: Be aware of the back that no matter how clean your room is, you will get charged an excessive amount of fees for the cleanup. Ah, and if you deliver your keys late, you get charged an additional month of rent

I was concerned about reports published about this student housing building before I moved in. However, it is a beautiful building and very clean. There were reports that the building is stinky, but rest assured that it is not as the ventilation system works perfectly. Nice atmosphere in the building for people seeking a balance between privacy in their self-contained studio apartments and communal interaction. My apartment was east facing on the second level, so I had morning sun (yes, such a thing exists in Copenhagen). My kitchen was well-designed even though it was small. Plus the bed (which is convertible from a sofa) was very comfortable. I think that the photos on the Housing Foundation's webpage are accurate as the building and apartments are light and airy. Finally, this area Nørrebro is really great to live in as it's funky, well connected (by bike paths but also public transport) and has cheap food and shopping options.
