This is the statue that I went to see immediately when I checked into my room. Near to the hotel as well, just a short walk of 20 min. The tiny little mermaid sits alone here... many people around talking photos. Enough space for everyone to enjoy the Little Mermaid indeed. Nice place to visit.

While stay in Copenhagen we visited The Little Mermaid and took shots. Its busy place visitors popular place having some stories with historic background. Copenhagen is a beautiful city with number of places to visit, no doubt its tourist city with lot of attractions. Beautiful airport, big Malls with concert halls, beautiful museums and zoo, beautiful well maintained beach, bridge between Copenhagen and malmo. All have attractions for visitors.

The most overrated tourist attraction in Denmark. It is a nice statue with an interesting underlying story. And that's all. You may see more valuable places in Denmark - the Kronborg Castle or the Louisiana Gallery of modern art

It's an interesting location in Copenhagen. You get a nice view of the harbor and you can walk through a nice park to get here. The statue is somewhat smaller than I had expected, but overall quite beautiful. Worth coming to earlier in the morning to avoid larger crowds.

The Little Mermaid is a Denmark icon. She's lounging longingly on a bright orange hue stone, artisticly selected for its complementary color against the deep dark blue water and frequently grey sky backdrop. This clever stone selection also contrasts with her dark bronze body, which otherwise might blend with the sea. When viewed from behind she appears sad and longing, but when viewed from the front, to me, she is shy, contemplative, confident, and hopeful. Take your time to explore her in her environment and imagine her thoughts as she dreams of joining you on the land and you dream of her watery realm.

I’m shocked to see the place coz I was expecting a mermaid \u200d️ sitting, but instead I saw a small woman sitting on the big rock . So for me, not really attractive but of course for most it is and it is just my own opinion. Still I recommend this tourist place not for the view but for the history of the place .

The little mermaid is a tourist trap. The artist made a little mermaid and tourists come to see her leave disappointed. Because she is little. And that is the whole point! She was little, she is little, so don't expect 3m tall statue. I think it is brilliant how she was made. The little mermaid, little :) genius!
