Excellent modern museum with exhibits that get exchanged, but also very good historical exhibits that are more permanent. Outside you can walk up the sloped grass roof and get a beautiful view through a magnificent beech forest. Clean and modern facilities inside, including a good gift shop and a large cafe with panoramic views of the surrounding nature.

I am sure that this place brings about a lot of nice picnics, visits to the museum, and great views, but there are no public rest rooms outside opening hours of the museum. This is quite bad, since you tend to bring a nice picnic with you and enjoy the incredible view. There is room for improvement here.

A really good museum, in an amazing building. There was an exhibition on Pompeii when I went, which was very good. There is a nice cafe and the shop is ok - the jelling museum shop I thought was better. Good exhibitions for all ages. Nice grounds and there is a path through the woodland to the sea which is nice.

This is good, a lot of history inside from all the way back from the ice age. Everything is translated to English text. Order your ticket ahead to avoid fully booked. Free parking, free toilets, good restaurant, hand sanitizer everywhere and earphones is sanitised regularly. I recommend the salmon salad on a crossaint, if you buy the year pass you get 10% discount in the restaurant. The gift shop have some interesting items.

Ofcourse, everything is closed. But it is still a nice place to visit during a walk. The 21-23 meter high rooftop will give you a nice view on for example Ebeltoft.

Two exhibitions in this museum caught my interest growing old and Pompeii. With the current situation you have to pre book your visit and it's a two hour slot. The museum building and surrounding offer great views and options of exploring so better to come with a few hours to explore inside and the exterior so you can make the most of your visit
