I've been here for a wedding reception - the food, the ambient, the service, the place itself... everything was simply great. Being right at the entrance of the Frederiksberg Park is a huge plus as you can have a nice walk around after food, if the weather allows it :)

Expectations were exceeded. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Food was outstanding and creative. Wine was amazing. Service was impeccable! Definitely recommend to splurge if you are in Copenhagen.

Upon entering this picturesque orangerie you feel at home right away, seated underneath the high ceiling and surrounded by the refined details of the historic building. The walls are studded with works of art and visitors to the restrooms are serenaded with the sounds of lapping waves and fluttering butterflies. The decor itself reflects dedication to the magic of details, something that is emphasised further by the eclectic and extensive Metamorphosis menu. It takes you on a worldwide foray through Asia over France and back to Frederiksberg with an audaciousness, veracity and assurance in each serving that is palpable. The staff exude the expertise, attentiveness and professionalism it takes to make a dining experience enjoyable with a restrained elegance. The wine list is a treasure trove for those who wish to go à la carte, while the pairings are adventurous. In a time where Danish fine dining more often than not has succumbed to fanciful dishes and whimsical experiences, this restaurant is a port in the storm. The food served at Mielcke & Hurtigkarl is not esoteric nor is it vainglorious, it is imaginative, candid and outright savory. The outcry for this gem to be properly recognised by the international food establishment is fully justified, the prices are comparatively fair and I could not recommend this immaculate restaurant higher.

Incredible food. We came with no clue what to expect and we were pleasantly suprised (also very tipsy). We champangemenu because we where there to celebrate my boyfriends sisters and moms birthday and it was perfectly chosen . Staff were friendly and Nice and knew what they were talking about. The hall was also really nice!

The fact that this restaurant doesn't have a star is extraordinary. This is by far the best meal we have had in Copenhagen in the last three years! We are skeptical of the New Nordic movement, but Mielcke doesn't overdo it. Every dish is perfectly balanced, the food is advanced and inventive, the service is great and the restaurant overall seems more mature since we were here some years back. For what you get, the menu is underpriced; dinner here is simply exceptional value and a great experience.
