About us: The business here in Copenhagen, started in Dec. 2016, and in May 2017 we had the grand opening of the shop. It was 1967 when Gino Silvestrin, along with other 2 partners, founded a small company specialized in painting and varnishing of furniture components; it was the first real idea of services to outside bodies in Italy. The first steps were taken in a basement, working 12 hours per day including Sundays in order to satisfy the constant demands of furniture industries. A year later it was possible to build the first shield of 100 sq.m. with a more Avant-garde equipment which allowed them to increase the product quality. After another extension of the basement during the 1969, the Industrial complex reached the 300 sq.m. In a market that was developing fast, Gino and partners started producing also frames and doors of wood, creating the first production unit called “CAROSELLO”. In this unit they were able to give seven coats of paint to 1.800 sq.m. of frames and doors in a daily cycle. In 1973-74 the production units have been extended up to a total of 1000 sq.m. and 70 workers. In the meantime, Gino Silvestrin could sense that the kitchen market was increasing fast and in 1979 he founded MAIOR CUCINE. Passion, professionalism and effort have been from the beginning the distinctive characteristics of this handicraft firm based on qualitative excellence. In 1988 he bought also ESSEGI SpA, a firm in which tiled worktops and kitchen accessories are produced. MAIOR CUCINE, that was changed from joinery to a real industrial factory, in 1990s became specialized in standard products for fitted kitchens. The complex in San Cassiano of Brugnera, from an open area of 300sq.m., has been expanded till the current 2000 sq.m. divided in 3 productive units. In 1996, with the acquisition of NOVENTA CUCINE specialized in wooden kitchens, Gino Silvestrin completed the productive range of the firm.
