Most people who have been to Copenhagen have seen (or at least know of) The Little Mermaid. But how many can say they've seen the genetically modified one? It's an interesting piece of art and about a 10 minute walk from the Little Mermaid. You will find no tourists there. It's super quiet and peaceful.

This was rather unexpected - having seen the info on Google Maps, we thought we had better find out what this was all about. There are a few art installations nearby and this was certainly \interesting\. However, as with the main Little Mermaid, it is worth seeing if you are in the area but I am not sure it is worth a special trip to see it.

Really close to the most famous Mermaid,no excuses, it just makes sense to go and have a look!

There’s something solemn about visiting this monument that really gives you pause. Take the time to look up the artist background on the piece before or during your visit. It’s worthwhile to walk the extra bit to get here if you’re seeing the Little Mermaid. I would say I enjoyed seeing this more than the aforementioned. Also - no crowds!

I love The Genetically Modified Little Mermaid. Neither she nor Paradise Genetically Altered are what I expected. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are plan to visit The Little Mermaid. It's a 10 minute walk between the two. Something different to get your head around.

The modern counterpart to the original Little Mermaid Statue this genetically altered sculpture is hidden away slightly further up the river in a residential quay. When we went there was no one else around and begs the question if this is a lesser known gem of Copenhagen?

It's a very weird and strange modification of the little Mermaid but deserves to have a look, I enjoyed walking through the long street viewing the picturesque view of the place.

So much better than the Little Mermaid statue! If you want to see the Little Mermaid statue make sure you come see this one after. There's also Little sculpture park nearby. It's much less known about than the touristy one. There was no one around.
