Nothing fancy about the statue but the park behind it is really nice.
Interesting statue with in a large town square
Too large to really see this statue. Wish I had a drone.
The king of Denmark (and the only king of Iceland) ruled from 1912 to 1947. He was known as an authoritative ruler, with no great sense for democracy, but won the hearts of his nation during the German occupation and soon became the symbol of resistance.
Always a magnet for tourism, the Christian X monument is a gorgeous sculpture, that towers meters above the ground. Not worth the visit for a hip tourist visiting in cafés, restaurants and danish culture, but for the classically art interested.
