recently I was in Copenhagen on holiday and ended up at the Amager hospital after suffering from severe coughing. the receptionist on 2nd floor was very friendly and booked me in after reviewing my passport. I saw a doctor who did a routine check-up. He took a sample of my blood and concluded that I had an infection. He wrote a prescription for some cough medicine which I was able to get from the pharmacy. Two days later I felt the coughing was getting worst. every time I cough I had pain in my stomach. I had a temperature and felt really bad. I called Amager hospital on their special emergency number they had given me after my last visit. I explained the situation over the phone and they were able to see that I had come to the emergency before. Immediately I was booked in for 7am. I went to the hospital and this time I went to the reception on 1st floor. Once again my details were checked and I was booked in and help to a bed. I was put on a breathing machine which really help. several blood test and x-rays were taken. Then I met Dr Trine Nielsen who looked at the result of all test taken and concluded that I had actually picked up a virus. I was injected with medicine plus she wrote a prescription for me to take the following day because I was very worried that I may not be able to fly back to UK. I am now back home and went to see my own GP who was able to follow up with the medication I received in Denmark. I really would like to thank all the staff at Amager Hospital for their care during my visit on Saturday 15th and Monday 17th of June. Big thanks to Dr Trine Nielsen, nurse Naja Kampp, the two helpful and very caring receptionist and even the porter who wheel me down to x-ray. Tak for taking good care of me.

We came there with an injured patient (bike car accident ) 10 minutes late. In the reception we were told that they are closed! (10:10pm) Despite, of hospital full of people nobody even interview the patient to check the state. So we had to call the call center again to make another appointment in other hospital. 10 MINUTES??? GUYS BE MORE HUMAN

I went there in night because my friend got terribly sick . We have been waiting for 2 hours and no doctor showed up . I asked lady on reception counter when doctor would see my friend . She mentioned she doesn't know and that's not her problem !and we must wait . Finally after another 30 minutes one nurse notified my friend bad condition. She feel pity for my friend and took her to see a doctor . Such a brilliant service .

Got broken hands and travelled all the way to the Akutafdeling, only to get sent out because \we didn't call 1813 prior to reserve a time\ while exaggerating the waiting time to try to get us to leave ...when asking for something cold to ease the pain, we were told to \get a bag of frozen peas when you get home\... never expected to be treated like this at a hospital. An extra star because there were only one employee treated us carelessly, other employees and doctor that helped us were fine and professional.
