I have tried arranging a time in order to see three apartments. They weren’t so responsive so I had to call. The person I talked with promised to call back but didn’t, and so I called again later. They promised to contact me next morning but again without luck. When I called yet again they told me I should count on being able to those apartments.

We had a negative experience with Housing Denmark. The process of making a move-out report completely differs from making a move-in report. Finally, it cost us the full deposit (huge money btw). Details are below: As you can guess, the move-in report was friendly and nice, took 5 minutes to complete the form, in which they tried to finish quickly and 'sell' you that all is 'in good condition'. I did many photos to protect myself in the future and later wrote back and forth emails claiming different defects I had found. Whereas during the move-out the agent was arrogant, inflexible and spend 35 (!) minutes of my time to scrutinize everything almost with a magnifier. According to our contract, everything was subject to normal wear and tear. However, he did not want to listen and marked a lot as 'worn', even e.g. ceiling, which we never touched and drilled. The problem is that you will not be able to make an independent assessment of the apartment state and soon will get a bill. Another point here is that the Housing Denmark is also engaged in another type of business: doing a renovation for noncompetitive prices. It means they are motivated to 'find' not existing defects and to 'draw' invoices for their renovation afterward, eating your deposit. That is why they will not even allow you to fix the problems by yourself (e.g paint walls or sand the floor) or by external providers at the market prices. There is clearly a conflict of interest. Also, when you decide to move out and inform the agency about that, they will start a process of finding a tenant. Be prepared for many days off and show the apartment at a time they say, you will fail to negotiate the time because office clerks are absolutely stubborn. Never ever will work with them.

Be very careful. Choose any other company if possible. They do not care about any background check regarding tenants, and they feel absolutely no obligations on anything. It's unfortunately an extremely expensive service they provide for no service.
