To get an international wedding certificate, if they do not require additional documents, it is fast, 5 days. If they require additional documents, after sending them, it can last a lot due to the number of applications that they are reviewing. Welcome then to a world of problems in which: - the person answering the phone is kind but has no visibility on the status of your case and the timelines - they do not answer your emails - they do not inform you of how long the processing will last For those willing to get married, I guess that you will be asked additional documents (it is pure assumption) with potential delay - if both of are not living in the same countries (or zone like European Union with travel free possibility) - if you do not have children together - if you never lived together In this particular case, due to this and the absence of answer of the Familieretshuset reported by other persons, I would rather recommend to consider other places like Las Vegas, Cyprus, Hong Kong or Gibraltar. So basically, the worst administrative experience I had for many years. And it is now one month and a half witout answer. I am now reaching to the Ombudsmand of Denmark (sort of of defensor of right that has a website available in many language to complain about slow processing and lack of answer). This type of topic is in his area of competence.
