Unfortunately, I have had a quite unpleasant experience at Den Gamle Grænsekro. I attempted to address this directly, but received no apology or offer of refund, so have decided to share my experience for any future guests wanting to stay at Den Gamle Grænsekro. The hotel generally lives up to its 3-star rating, as the rooms are dated and very basic. What I hadn’t expected was for the room to be infested with bedbugs. My arms, torso, neck and legs are covered in bites. I stayed at Den Gamle Grænsekro as I needed to spend two days near Haderslev, Denmark dealing with my father’s passing and the whole experience was very emotional and unpleasant. The restaurant is very nice, the service pleasant, but I will never stay in the hotel rooms again.
Lovely place, and a great location on the road. As a hotel it's comfortable. Nothing special, but nothing against it. The room are in a single story extension, which means no stairs. Breakfast was good, and there was something for vegetarians and vegans. It's also a restaurant and events venue. We didn't like the look of the meat based menu, so gave it a miss. It's clearly a good location for events, and a nose around the facilities looked excellent.

Great place for having your events. We had our wedding there and everything was great. The food, the service, the room, the breakfast, everything was just perfect and for a reasonable price.
