VisBlue is located in Aarhus V, Denmark on Bautavej 1A. VisBlue is rated 3 out of 5 in the category renewables & environment in Denmark. Sustainable energy storage is key at VisBlue. We are a commercialised producer of redox flow batteries with a passion for sustainability. In 2014, VisBlue was established by Adelio Mendes, Anders Bentien, Morten Madsen, and Søren Bødker. VisBlue is a private production and development company and a spin-out from Aarhus University and the University of Porto, based on a patented invention created by Adelio Mendes and Anders Bentien. Morten Madsen brings his knowledge within power electronics to the team, and Søren Bødker is responsible for the commercial part of the company. VisBlue is the first and only Danish battery producer specialising in vanadium redox flow batteries. VisBlue is based on know-how within the redox flow battery technology. VisBlue operates in the field of producing and installing vanadium redox flow battery systems in industrial/private applications and within the SME marked. The company has competencies within battery development, power electronics, and system production. Furthermore, VisBlue has commercial competencies and experience which ensures that the solution fits the market needs. Different from our competitors, we focus on modular systems, which means that we can optimise, scale, and customise storage solutions that fit our customers' needs perfectly. Our energy and electricity needs are changing constantly, which makes us increasingly dependent on energy storage in our daily lives. We need to make better use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, and reduce our dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels, such as oil and gas. Solar and wind power, however, are not always available when needed, as clouds block the sun and the wind blows irregularly. Here, energy storage comes into the picture as a solution for the undependable presence of renewable energy. When using batteries for the storage of solar and wind power, we are provided with reliable electricity 24/7, without negatively impacting the environment.
