1656 used to be \the secret cocktail bar\ of Vesterbro. Atmospheric and chill. Somehow now it turned into an overly crowded (for Corona times, no distancing whatsoever) and horrendously loud place, not to mention the very aggressive lighting. Such a shame. The cocktails are still good, but with places like Lidkoeb and Curfew, just to name a few, within walking distance, 1656 is not up to scratch any longer.
Cocktails bar where you’re served the drinks AND get a glass of water are simply nice. Even though the prices are steep, this place is definitely worth going - you’ll get very tasty drinks from an ever changing menu, a slight speakeasy feel and cosy atmosphere. Would recommend!

Maybe a great place for those with a Danish pallette, but, for most others, the drinks are incredibly sweet and the atmosphere is exceptionally sour.

One of my favorite cocktail bars In Copenhagen! It has a very intimate and glamorous vibe. The cocktail menu is well thought through and their cocktails are top notch.
