The atmosphere and decor are amazing. The staff is friendly and very kind to switch to English if they see it’s your preferred language. The food is quite tasty too. However, I am giving Tortilla Flats 3/5 stars because it did not truly feel like Mexican food - there was barely any spice to it. Also, the vegetarian dishes were overloaded with veggies, but they had no rice in them. While I love carrots, putting carrots inside a burrito is weird. As someone who has spent decades in SoCal and many vacations in Mexico- the food needs to be spicier, a little more flavorful. I would definitely go back, because it’s as close to Mexican food as I have found around here, but the authenticity attempt missed the mark.

Excellent service, great food, well decorated, and pretty close to Mexican as you'll get in Denmark :) I was very pleasantly surprised. I would come back and I would bring my friends! Prices were fair for the big portions.
Aside from slight wait for food in an empty dining room, the service was wonderful and the food perfect. Our waiter was incredibly nice as well. Good time in good atmosphere.
Great people who run the place, they are so friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, and I am never disappointed in it. I can strongly recommend their cactus soup. If the weather allows, there is a very nice, cozy area outside to eat, though there is a cat who likes to visit and ask for cuddles, which I personally enjoy giving. The only criticism I have is with their pick up/take away, most often when you come to pick up your food, you end up waiting 10 - 20 minutes past the pick up time. I recommend making a reservation if you are going on a weekend.
From the outside this looks like an average building, but inside this has a lovely blend of kitsch and Mexican culture. Vegetarians will find a welcome home here - it's not easy to find more than one or two vegetarian options on the menu in most of Viborg, but Tortilla Flats has a whole page of options. A note for vegans: your options are going to be more limited, but there are some choice that don't include cheese. The food is good - not mind-blowing, but overall good quality ingredients cooked well in a good mix of spices. The ambience makes this a fun and relaxed place to eat, and definitely different from the other options in town. I'll be going again next time I visit Viborg.
