Bought two tickets for a Torsdagsstjerner event. On the day of the event I called the phone to ask if they could send me a confirmation that I have indeed booked the tickets because I never got any. Then I asked if the event was not gonna be cancelled because it was raining all day. The lady told me it was not going to be cancelled and she didn't know how they would show us the stars but they probably have something figured out. I admitted that I had no idea how telescopes work but I was going only because I wanted to see the stars through one. So I drove from Copenhagen with a friend all the day there and we sat through a presentation about tips on how to find stars and what equipment is best for what. Then they were going to show the inside of the telescope room, but that's it. I expressed my confusion and disappointment, there should have been a clear message in the description that it is at my own risk that I buy tickets that I might get only half of the program experience, because there is no option to cancel the tickets and refund them. So, I can see that they took my feedback and updated the website and the description where they now explicitly warn you that if there is no guarantee telescope will be used to show stars. I am glad I could help prevent others from being disappointed but money was spent on tickets, gas and also spent time driving. The least I'd expect to have the tickets refunded.

Our family had a fantastic day at Brorfelde. The observatory is old and not very well-maintained, but the guided tour was amazing. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared fun and interesting knowledge that was both interesting to our kids and to us adults. We will be back to join some of the events to learn more about space. In addition to learning about space, you will also step back in time and see how people lived in the sixties as nothing have been changed since the researchers lived at the observatory.

I went with my three teenage children and we had a very interesting afternoon. The Observatory is beautifully situated in rolling countryside, and it's easy to get around the different buildings. Denmark's biggest telescope is in one of the buildings, and we had a good 15 minute explanation from one of the staff. There were also good displays on geology in other buildings including an entertaining interactive sandbox which is well worth a try.
