The harbor in Sønderborg is surely one of the best locations in this area. beside the scenic view of the surrounding landscape with the famous Dybøl Mill on top of the hill, then its a great place to sit down and relax on a nice summerday. You will also find places to eat nearby and quite so often you can find the Royal yard laying beside Sønderborg Castle.

Simply beautiful. Had expected. More pubs and restaurants at the waterfront though.
Nice place to take a walk. Lots of beautiful typical Danish attached houses and the amazing castle with the surrounding park.
very beautiful view. it is a nice spot to spend the weekends. There are also dining places, library and museum.
One of the nicest places in Sønderborg. Many events such as Street Food festival happen here too!
Many people fish here from their small boats
We liked it so much, so definitely will come back next time. There is a good choice of restaurants, stunning views and nice long promenade. On a clear sunny day you can see Germany on another side. Only missing descriptive information in English about parking. It took us good 20 minutes to understand if we have to pay or park for free after certain hours.
