Currently undergoing renovations to the west face, but beautiful nonetheless.

A must place to see in Sønderborg in southern Jutland. The museum has en excellent collection of regional art of 2 world wars and cultural history. Amazing to see the museum as there so many things have been preseve in order one to see the long history from 1570 in Denmark.

It's a nice place for a walk, especially on a sunny day. But not much entertainment.

The hold itself is ordinary but impressive. The exhibition inside is pretty vast and covers all three floors and has some English/German descriptions. However mostly it's only in Danish which makes the whole experience less enjoyable for tourists.

Free Public Royal ballet every summer we were lucky to enjoy, the Sonderborg castle located in a beautiful old historic harbor city, lots of cultural activities a must summer visit when in Denmark.

It was a really interesting and inspiring visit. It helped me to get to know more about the history of Sonderborg and Denmark in general. Unfortunately, not all of it is in English. Content is mostly in Danish and German.

Situated on the seashore, a beautiful building and excellently maintained.

The border between Denmark and Germany has been rather fluid and Sønderborg Castle has been a big part of the border life. It was very educational for me, and the old armors and weapons were interesting for my son.
