Lovely inn with a beautiful location near the beach and heath. Friendly and welcoming staff in a small and locally styled building. Comfortable seating and handcrafted food stuffs from locally sourced ingredients make for a great lunch or dining experience. The servings are rustic and plentiful.

We enjoyed our stay at Stenbjerg Kro and our . visits to Thy National Park, which is easily accessible by car from there. Our room with bathroom was spacious and the beds were good (not too soft). There are chairs and a desk in the rooms and a terrace. We had lunch in the restaurant and can definitely recommend the "National Platter", where you'll try a selection of local specialities. We would have liked a small fridge to store beverages in and a real double bed instead of two single beds, that easily moved around. We also think the breakfast was a bit too basic compared to the amazing lunch we had in the restaurant. But those are details and we still recommend a night or two here

Good food, mediocre service and lousy mangement... sums it up pretty much. We had the menus and food was generally of good quality although a little on the expensive side. But generally more than ok. For the kind of place we would expect service to be a little more than taking orders and delivering food - but that was what it was. The food is original and looks interesting but was served with no or very little presentation. A little disappointing. Worst thing was, however, that we found out when we came home that they had overcharged us on the bill. First it's a little surprising how it can happen since you'd expect that the prices are pre-set onthe till. And when we called them later on we were told that the boss would call us back (no excuse or explanation given at all). The boss never called us back and when we called them back, we were just told that the difference would be transferred to the credit card - that's it! Unfortunately this shows a serious lack of respect and decency on their part - mistakes can happen but at least have the decency to give a proper apology. Won't come back...

Wonderful food with a thorough focus on using local produce of both known and less known character. Things like buckthorn, hawthorn and ramson along with local fish and meat make for some great dishes that you aren't likely to find in other areas than the western part of Jylland with it's rough territory and climate. Service was also very nice and welcoming, and the prices were quite reasonable, although not exactly cheap (a three course menu will set you back around 300 Danish kroner). All in all a lovely, authentic experience with a nice, local touch.

Surprisingly good food and very kind and attentive service. Very surprised to find such a place on causal walk from the natur park.
