“Danmark…The frozen North recalls the time of Vikings. Around 1000 A.D., this rude race sailed a great many seas, pillaged the coasts of Europe and even penetrated into Spain and Italy. One of the best known reconstructed Viking camps is TRELLEBORG, a circular fortress with 31 wooden “long-houses”, surrounded by a system of ditches and ramparts. Awaiting their sea voyages, more than 1500 soldiers-some with their spouses and children - were stationed here. It is said that the Vikings discovered North America during their voyages in the year 801.” - MINI-EUROPE

There really isn't anything like this place, so how do you rate it? The museum is small but informative, the gift shop has more than your regular knick-knack (actually some really cool stuff) and entrance is free. All in all a good afternoon spent.

Had the best possible date of my life at this little piece of history. Went on a Sunday but the the attractions were closed, however we could still walk up to the long hut and explore the grounds beyond. A truly remarkable morning that as a foreigner to the country, I will never forget.

Beyond interesting. A must visit if you ever find yourself within 2 hours driving. Free admission almost seems criminal.
