Just besides the lake, there was this museum and forrest. What a wonderful way to spend the day.
Museum built in an area full of underground bunkers from WW2, now in pleasant parkland with imaginative outdoor sculptures to enjoy.
Lovely setting for art pieces both outside in the beautiful garden and inside. Very interesting art in various forms from sculpture to painting. Finish off your visit with a coffee and cake at the café. All you can drink coffee for a reasonable price or you could choose the orthentic danish buffet which was very tempting, maybe next time.
We were in Silkeborg for vacation and was told by the hotel reception that there's a fun exhibition for kids at the Art Centre and it is indeed great fun for both children and adults alike. The surrounding is beautiful in autumn, kids love the circus exhibition and wet love the arts from Fyn artists. I can definitely recommend the place.
