A living museum and full immersive experience in the viking era. The village is a reconstruction of Ribe during the viking era. It very a fantastic learning experience for kids and adults: tools and lifestyle from the 8th century are brought back to life for reenacting volunteers. Many activities for children during the day, from role plays and coins making to archery and sword training.

A rebuild village, that represents Ribe in the viking era , your really think that you are there, amazing - with plenty of details and especially all the person's there, playing the citizens and each one is willing to tell their story ... This is definitely a MUST visit when you are in this area

This is really a great place to experience ancient Viking life. Especially with children, but also for adults. There are so many things to see and to do that I advise to spend 3-5 hours here. Also be aware that the site closes already in the late afternoon (we were here during our summer vacation and the museum closed at 5.00 PM already. Many activities were only open until 4.00 PM).

Very fun spot to take the whole family. Very interesting to see the buildings and tools and lifestyles from back then. They also have some activities that children can try too. They also have costumed actors doing various chores and work like in the Viking age and you can talk and ask them questions about life back then. They also have a canteen if you want to get some food or drinks. Unfortunately, some of the attractions were closed due to covid but we plan on going back next year. If you're a fan of Vikings, the middle ages or even history in general, you will be happy to go visit this place!

Really cool place to see the daily lives of the Vikings. Better than any museum since you can go about outdoors discovering different aspects of Viking life, the people working there are super nice and friendly and no question asked goes unanswered.

Very authentic. With lots of activities for kids and very enthusiastic „inhabitants“, letting you participate in their daily lives. Overall a great experience.

The Viking village was beautifully made. And there where actors everywhere and they where perfectly able to respond to every single question we had. The activities where also pretty well made.

One of the highlights of our trip through Denmark! It was a very immersive experience, including opportunities to learn how to shoot a bow, craft a silver coin or work wood using old techniques. The \Vikings\ on site were very well versed about the history and ways of Vikings, and were able to answer every question I asked. Kids, adults, and those in between can all have a good time here and I think it's well worth the entrance fee.
