Nice open air museum makes you feel like in the old days. Plenty of authentic buildings as well as windmill and watermill. Many activities for kids. Domestic animals and crops. Worth visiting.

Visiting the village was a great way to learn about how the people of Fynen lived in the past. I enjoyed the video presentation in the beginning and the village was really beautiful and there was info in English. You can also see the animals they keep(pigs, cows etc). I also highly recommend the restaurant/cafe inside.

Was a lovely stop on our way to Aero. Perfect for kids, our one year old had a blast there! It s filled with lovely farm animals and they have great sandwiches at the restaurant. Plus the grownups will enjoy the beautiful architecture of these old style danish houses! Great place!

Wonderful place to just wander around and pretend you have travelled back in time. Apart from all the beautiful house in this Village, there are little secret getaways in the gradens, where Kids can get to play and feel what it was like to be a kid centuries ago.

Lovely outdoors museum located just outside central Odense. Had a great day, staff were friendly and helpful. Food/cafe is nice with fair prices.

Must-go place in Odense. It is a reverse time machine and brings the 19 century back to today. The carriage ride is 25 DKK per person and it gives a quick tour of the village. After that, we walked through many rooms to see the demo. Black smith, weaving, farming, wind mile. The HC Anderson show was a highlight, too. Don’t miss it. Unfortunately, the two actors did not perform in English, but we still enjoyed it. It opens at 10AM in summer. We drove there and parking was easy in the morning, and free. Also, they provides wagons for free in case you have little kids. However, the number of wagons is limited, and you may not get one if you come late.

History is told though both information signs, but also via the people working in the park. Dressed up in old clothes they inhabit the houses and farms and makes the village alive. Definitely worth a visit.
