Increasing the interest and opportunities for education, training, research and clinical internship in Emergency Medicine and working for the introduction of a specialty in Emergency Medicine in Denmark. SOFAS was founded in the autumn of 2010 and is represented in all four Medical Schools in Denmark (Aarhus, Copenhagen, Odense and Aalborg). At the present moment SOFAS has over 400 members.
