Hotel Domir was fantastic. My colleague and I arrived early for a conference so needed a place to stay in Odense for the night. The hotel was about a five minute walk from the station, although it took us longer as we got lost looking around Odense! Just walk straight down the main road from the station and it is a few streets down on the left after the park. We both had single rooms and mine had a sofa, a bed, a TV, a desk, and a cupboard as well as an en suite wet room. For me the room was large enough as I was only sleeping there, however the room might be considered 'small' by some so be prepared for this. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In the morning they could be seen hoovering and tidying the entire lobby area throughout the morning. In particular Tais was very helpful. When we arrived it transpired that our room had not been paid for yet and he was more than happy to help us with this. As the hotel was quiet he spent the night serving us at the bar and helping us out with local knowledge, including some Danish. He also helped us with all our extra requests and questions. Overall I would definitely recommend Domir. Although the rooms are small and 'basic' they are clean and, depending on your purposes, should be more than enough for most travellers. As a final point, both my colleague and I noted how amazingly comfortable the beds are.
Location was quite alright, not too far from the shopping street and the train station was rather close as well. The room and bathroom were decently sized and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was great, as was the personnel. All in all a great experience.
Hotel near the city centre. It has parking for 5 cars, but it's difficult to have place. Very nice breakfast!!!
Came so far for beauty Well, came for Leonard Cohen in the park in August 2013 actually and that was an incrediable event. The Domir made what was a very special event for us even more so. Such a friendly hotel. The receptionist could not have been more welcoming or informative. Going to the trouble of getting on line for me to check out not only the train times to Copenhagen but also which trains had seats left, really impressive service. (Good luck with your literature studies) The room was very comfortable. The breakfast tasty and substantial. Were I ever in Odense again I would stay at the Domir, no question. The location is good being under ten minutes from the station.
