Danmarks Jernbanemuseum Reviews | Rating 4.6 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Danmarks Jernbanemuseum is located in Odense, Denmark on Dannebrogsgade 24. Danmarks Jernbanemuseum is rated 4.6 out of 5 in the category children's museum in Denmark. I Odense centrum ligger Danmarks Jernbanemuseum.

Loved it! Impressive museum with plenty of locomotives and carriages. Miniature train rides are included and especially exciting for the little ones. You will also find several train models as well as numerous stands and screens with information. There was also a small quest when we visited. Absolutely recommended.

The only Railway museum in Denmark and my husband's favourite place in Odense. It is an amazing collection of old (and some newer) trains. The building part is filled up with old memories and a lot of the Danish railway history. It is a great place to spend 2-3h with kids. We visited with my husband twice - once at my birthday and once at our wedding day (and none of us is from Odense or has whatsoever connection to the city). Do wear proper shoes or else you might get tired of walking - there are both outdoor and indoor area. The museum is huge and I would suggest to visit it during the hot months, however, when we visited in November 2017 (at our wedding day) it was well heated indoors.

Such a great museum to visit with the family. It has a neat little train playground on the top floor for the little ones. We enjoyed it greatly.

A perfect museum for children and adults! A great collection of old trains out of denmark. They have also a nice collection of hand-made boats. I think you will visit this place when it's a rainy day. I was there and they had a 'Thomas the train day' that was beautiful for all of the children that day. I think the price for the museum is a little expensive but when you like old trains you will like it there.

Very exciting and well organized exhibition. The wagon lits and interrail show was gruesome well put into practice. Congratulations! Finally a good train museum, that is fulled with life. The staff is very kind and helpful. Today was "En dag med Thomas", so there was lot of people, but the place was not crowded. You can find interesting books and publications in the suvenir shop, toys as well. They sells postcards, but don't have stamps. We were 4 hours there, but 8 would be short (for a railway fanatic of course). You can find a lot of playground for the kids!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Don’t forget to take their mini train ride. I wish they could close later than 4PM at least in Summer

Alot bigger inside than you first assume. Alot of history gathered heee, very nicely displayed. Take a trip in the old bus, (last ride is before 1400) if the outside train works, you can get a ride around that too. We couldnt get Any of the rides because the outside train apparently breaks down around 1230 oclock and they didnt annonce when the ladt bus ride were. But over All, a cheap place to see Alot of history 9n the danish railways. Well worth a visit. Kids under the age of 5 Are free.
