The castle is currently under construction and will remain under scaffolding for the next few years but the park is quite nice with a fully reconstructed bastion from the city defenses.

Very nice to visit, but in 2018 in renovation. So it is closed. Nevertheless the surroundings are worth too. In the summer there is a theater outside. Also very nice. And the free entrance water tower with artists who are displaying and hopefully sell their work. Do support the artists!
Cool city castle grounds to walk around, there's a Mexican food place near it that serves meh food and steals your spicy pepper if you ask them to pack your leftovers...
Very old and historic place. Good way to get an idea about the history of Denmark.
Nice, clean, benches on a river sides, friendly birds coming next to you, expecting to feed them. Relaxing.
Reenacted at the event \Nordiske Kampdage\ (nordic days of battle), really fun and inspiring. Beautiful nature, city and castle grounds/fortifications (despite that the castle itself is undergoing extensive renovation at the moment)
