Marstal is the place where you want to start your sailing exploration of the southern Danish islands. The best ship museum ever, a historic port with museumships and modern boats right next to each other. The Havn has showers, toilettes and fair prices. Everything is close by, shops, restaurants, supermarket and pubs.

Cosy harbour long and protected well
Such cute village, the harbour is super nice,
Easy to find your way around and full of interesting exhibits. If you have children, make sure to visit the craft room downstairs from the entrance.
Lovely little town. Had a friendly chat with an artist. The bus around Æro is free. We didn’t stay long as out time was limited but I thoroughly enjoyed what I saw.
After 01. October this place is dead, no cafes or shopping opportunities
Nice harbour, friendly people
Best place on Ærø....
