Europes first 3D building (2017) made with a COBOD 3 D Construction Printer… to demonstrate how 3D printing technology can be used for constructing a building. The BOD (Building on Demand) is a small 3D printed office hotel in the Nordhavn area of Copenhagen, designed by architect Ana Goidea, MAA. The building is less than 50 square meters with free forms in architecture, built in a concrete mix of recycled materials. It appears very organic, as no straight line is seen on the outside, except for doors and windows and additionally, it has an increasing sloping roof. The big advantage of 3 D printing architecture is the design freedom that you can make any shape and furthermore it is faster to build and cheaper as traditional building methods. Really interesting!
