The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The inside was beautiful as well. Only a certain amount of people are allowed in at once and it will tell you on your ticket when your time is. There are also lockers across from where you purchase your tickets. There's also a cute little cafe next to the castle.

Wonderful royal castle, with an impresive collection of belongings of the royal family over several centuries. Due to the new COVID-19 situation we couldn't visit the first floor, so the overall time spent inside was approximately 1 hour. Do not miss the amazing collection in the basement, including the royal crowns the orb and the sceptre of the Danish royals. We bought the tickets straight from the castle not online and the delay for entering the castle premises was only 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Great local attraction highlighting the long standing monarchy within Denmark and Copenhagen itself. This is an architecturally beautiful building full of many interesting rooms and hallways! The grounds that surround the castle are magnificently well kept and to top it off if timed correctly you may be able to see a marching demonstration from the army barracks located behind the castle. This is a top notch stop when visiting Copenhagen.

I had a great time here! I could really imagine what life was life for the royals in the 1600s. My favorites was the Marble Chamber with the fantastic ceiling, and the Porcelain room with the gorgeous selection of plates all around the walls, beautiful! (I visited in August 2019.)

Simply unique historical sight build in sixteen hundred something by King Christian IV, in his quest to seek out an iconic aftermath. He succeeded in doing so, at the same time cutting down most of the century old forests and bankrupting the country. A true man by the standards of western colonialism! Going for a walk in the heart of Copenhagen you will surely pass by several of his historical leftovers: Stockmarket exchange, another castle or two, some churches and a bit more. The interior of this castle holds a collection of items from that time and onwards, kept in the royal family for centuries. Truly amazing for any visitor from Far East or The great America.

A really beautiful palace with a great garden. The rooms are nicely decorated and you can see the royal jewells.

Very nice visit. The website offers a decent guided tour, with items having labels for you to easily find out more about them. The most impressive is certainly the crown jewels. But the palace itself is filled with very interesting paintings, and curious items. There's a wide range of history comprised in this location, definitely a must!

Famous for being one of the best preserved castles in Europe, Rosenborg Castle is definitely worth a visit. From the Great Hall room with its exquisitely preserved thrones to the mesmerising Crown jewels in the basement, you will be transported to a time that one can now only imagine. While everything is displayed quite openly and is within arm's reach, best not to touch or you'll be told off; everything is very old and therefore very precious.
