The best museum i have seen. Crazy good. I have spent hours inside is so beautiful and amazing. Multiple rooms and floors full of different art and antiques. Old Egypt statue's, mummies and other stuff. Also Greek art. The Van Gogh paintings in the last floor are so amazing. It was worth every krona spend. If you are visiting Copenhagen pls visit this museum you will be amazed and will have so much fun. Check my pictures and you will understand why.

Beautiful place. Wonderful collection of classic art, paintings, sculptures. Egyptian section etc. Too much to list here. Check their website. Recommended. Why only 4 stars. Because of the steep entrance price.

If you are an art enthusiast, this place is fantastic to visit. You can easily spend 4 hours or more over there. There are sculptures, paintings and antiques from around the world but mainly France, Italy, Denmark. The building itself is gorgeous, great interior design, really nice presentation of the artworks and has a great vibe in general.

Absolutely gorgeous building! We went on a Tuesday, which is indeed with a free commission, but we still bought tickets to see the special exhibitions. They were much less crowded, as you'd expect, but we liked only one of them. The other was nothing much - but if you continue upstairs, you'll arrive to the roof terrace. There was nobody except us (it was extremely windy that day), so we could take some pictures with nobody obscuring the view! You can either use a paid locker to keep your stuff safe or use a free hanger, which we did and had no trouble with our things missing at all.

This is one of the best days out ever. Such a lot to look at and be amazed at the quality of the artwork. Dont miss this and give yourselves at least 3 hours. Magnificent

Highly recommended, many historical artifacts and they have plenty room to explore specially in Tuesday it’s free except the exhibition you need to pay but it’s worthy to watch.

1. Very impressive art museum that contains mainly marble sculptures. 2. Come here on Tuesdays for FREE entry. 3. Of course, to help preserve these artworks, do consider spending at the souvenir store or making donations. 4. Best to factor in 2hrs for a comprehensive tour. 5. Cafe/restaurant is available inside. 6. Free lockers avail too, some lockers use a FULLY REFUNDABLE token for 20dkk.

The collection of sculptures and ancient artifacts is very impressive. The Kneeling Barbarian and Perseus Slaying Medusa were stunning (not sure why Medusa photo is blocked, I've seen one elsewhere in reviews). I am not so impressed with the modern art, but it's just not my thing and about 90% of the exhibition is 200-2000 years old. You either eat upstairs in their cafe, or go in the basement with your own lunch. Worth the 14 entry each, but Tuesdays are free. Ensure your bag is very small! Strict entry rules.
