Amazingly serene Cemetery in the middle of a busy City Center location. Plenty to walk around here and a few notable lost souls graves can be viewed and respected paid. Including Hans Christian Anderson. Pretty in every season too.

It's the place where great people like Neils Bohr and Han Christian oersted etc are buried. Nice place to walk.

What a Cemetery??? But not really!! A surprisingly beautiful park, green, peaceful aesthetic place. Do not miss!

Really different cemetery. Almost like a park. There are a few famous graves here amongst the beautiful trees. It’s worth a visit and is on the way to Grod from the city, so you’ll be walking past anyway if you are on the usual tourist trail.

Typically in USA, our cemeteries are quite open, so it was quite interesting to experience this one. It's surrounded with so many trees and thickets. Tall, short, bush like with buds, and even miss shapened by mother nature. I found interesting and even some beauty in many of the statues. Was neat to see how old some of the grave stones were, thinking and wondering about what that person may have experienced in their life. However others say it's a beautiful and relaxing place to walk around, but I beg to differ. There is not much for gardens in here compared to other parks around Copenhagen areas I have been to, seeing as how this is a cemetery. Many people in these reviews have seemed to find just the very few plots of gardens there are in this massive cemetery and made it out to be more of a park when it isn't. What you will see when you enter is 95% trees, thickets, and grave plots. A lot of the small gardening done is poorly organized, which did not make me feel relaxed, but rather a bit stressed. And seeing many knick knacks all over trees so near families graves was extremely gaudy. If you're looking for more floral and \lively\ scenery, I recommend better visiting the Frederiksberg Have.

Beautiful cemetery with interesting statues and nice alleys, recommended especially during autumn for the amazing colors.

Its One of the Best places in Copenhagen to relax. No traffic noice, old beautyfull trees, the smell of flowers. Its Perfect for meditation, inspiration, small picnicks, or just for enjoying the spirit of history . Its a Perfect mix of beauty and decay.
