A huge museum of marble statues and stunning painted roofs. Definitely a good stop for those who enjoy classical sculptures and techniques. It will keep you busy for at least an hour and a bit

Take your time, wander slow, grab the audio tour if you can. They're just iPods you walk through with but they are very informative. The work is absolutely stunning and you will want to give yourself an hour or two. The tickets also work for the more modern museum housed in St. Nicholas Church as well.

Great museum to see of the best sculptures around. Well worth a visit (free on Wednesdays). The building itself is worth a visit - remember to look at the floors and ceilings.

Beautiful sculptures and art pieces by this talented Danish Neoclassical Sculptor. There are also wonderful art collections of this artist on display as well. Very much enjoyed. A great place to be, particularly on a rainy day. I am Uploading a few photos now. Hope you would like them. Thanks.

The thorvaldsens museum houses many many spectacular statues that are so detailed and cover many figures from myth and history that you'll know. Easy to get around however it can get very samey if you aren't into statues so it maybe should only be a stop off. It is located close to the shops and canals and the government buildings so could be included as part of a larger tour

It was free when I went to the museum. The roofs are so beautifull and the statues are amazing. It's worth a visit.
