Splendid square with this famous statue in the middle. Some good story can be told here and wonderful view at each direction.
Good for a quick stop if it is on your way
Very interesting spot. We went while it was a bit cooler in early evening and were the only ones there. I recommend passing through.
The statue of Frederik V on his horse dominates the large square of the Amalienborg palace. The 4 buildings surrounding the square are Royal residences, a museum and high ranking guest accommodation. There is also a “Changing of the Guard” that takes place in this square.
