There were a lot of things to see and because I wanted to read everything comprehensively I didn't finish the tour but it was very interesting and engaging. There was a boredom button in some display rooms, children could press and some animation would come up and awesome sounds explaining some of the artifacts. The children's museum was also very engaging with articles they could dress up in and a ship they could row in and take pictures and a lone horses. Would definitely come back to finish my tour.

I recommend that if you plan to go to this museum, take at least half a day. The museum is large and each room is very interesting, and thus it is worth to enjoy it properly.

I really liked visiting the national Museum of Denmark because it gives you a lot of insight into the history of the country and the Vikings. You could easily spent almost an entire day here. The entrance to the museum is including the Copenhagen card, which I highly recommend you purchase at the airport at the information desk right before you come out. The museum has extensive information on the development of civilization in Denmark, the way They hunted and farmed early on, and the animals that they have a light on. It’s very interesting and informative.

I have seen many museums but this is one of the few that was especially engaging - I really enjoyed myself and would love to return one day! It was like going into a time machine and stepping into various homes from different times. Fantastic job! (I went in August 2019, my first time in Copenhagen.)

This Museum winds through many corridors. A great range of artifacts to view.

Do not miss this museum if you are in Copenhagen. I spent a few hours in this amazing museum and barely scratched the surface. I’m not going to reiterate what you can or cannot experience here, there is the internet for that. I will say that the people who work there are super friendly and that I will be back!

Very comprehensive museum, well directed with English on all the exhibits. See Denmark’s complete history with some key Danish heirlooms including the famed Golden Horns among other national treasures. This place is big and is housed in the old Prince’s Mansion (King Frederick V). Nice coffee shop inside and in the courtyard. Good gift shop with some unique items. Plan to spend a few hours here or more if you are a museum buff. Not to be missed.

Such a wide variety of exhibits when we went the two main exhibitions were Genghis Khan and Japanese Culture, with a few smaller displays throughout. Great because it was included on the Copenhagen card so we utilised this again. Very good experience overall.
