Standing on the other side of the river, the royal Opera House of Copenhagen shines during the nights with bright colorful lights. A real sight, specially from the palace on the other riverbank. Hopefully one day I'll be able to watch am exhibition inside. Fro now a four star is the best I can do!

Beautiful piece of modern architecture. Best to be observed from the ferry – glass walls are mirrored in the water.

The Opera in Copenhagen was built from a great desire to create an internationally renowned opera house both in terms of opera performances as well as state of the art technology and architecture. The two later more or less achieved, the house is struggling to keep up with the main purpose of staging high-end opera performances. While the danish singers wish to promote the ensemble representation, the original intention was to create an environment were top singers would seek the productions of the Copenhagen Opera. Since economy sets limits, you get a bit of both. This wasn't the intention, but time will show if the Copenhagen Opera gets the means to create the artistic mecca that everyone wishes for - a northern melting pot for opera in Europe. I somehow think the odds are favorable. Things just takes time to develop. The theatre hires the international singers within reach of a smaller budget, and combine with danish singers. The danish ensemble represent both top-notch singers and others struggling with a strenuous bell canto - but all very very good actors. So, you get acting, various level achievements and get entertained by the settings of a bold beautiful architecture facing the harbour and the fantastic orchestra who glues it all together.

Absolutely awesome building from an architectural and design perspective. I loved the lines and the inside space. Magnificent place. The New Year concert I attended was also fun and highly recommend going if you have the chance. I'd recommend if you are here as a tourist to visit and take one of tours they offer. Or better see a performance here!

One of the most impressive concert halls that you can have! From outside, don't be surprised if someone will say looks like Starship Enterprise! You can reach it with various public transport, or by driving. We arrived with the boat taxi! Interior is as fascinating as from outside and the comfort when you attend the spectacle is on the highest levels. Acoustic is impressive and literally the time there will fly away without realizing!

A beautiful building with an enchanting story, full of class and culture. We enjoyed an amazing performance by West End's tremendously talented group of actors in an impeccable Sweeny Todd play. It was amazing!
