Nice cathedral. Attended the morning prayer. Calm and soothing. Felt closer to God.

Awesome awesome building. Make sure you go upstairs. You might miss the stairs, but go. To the right when you walk in, one half is closed off but not the other. There is the history timeline of the building. Also a gift shop museum that goes down to the crypt which has the foundation of the only church. Really cool. The floors could do with some cleaning.

One of Highlights in Kopenhagen. Not as impressive as some, however recommended to see.

From outside it looks like a town hall in a poor, forgotten province. Not maintained, ugly and not big. Inside is beautiful, though simple decoration. Unusual thing, ca. half of the seats are doubled facing backward instead of forward to prevent the people sitting back to the king ir queen.

The interior is plain in typical Lutheran style, but I absolutely loved the beautiful statues of the apostles! They are all by Bertel Thorvaldsen, including the risen Christ, \Christus\ (Christus Consolator), which was adopted by the LDS (Mormon) Church in the 1950s. It is also an interesting area, with the Reformation Memorial and the University of Copenhagen just outside the door. I came here as part of a self-guided walk in Rick Steves 'Scandinavian & Northern European Cruise Ports Guidebook,' highly recommended! (I visited Copenhagen for the first time in August 2019 after a Baltic cruise.)
