This is the movie theater for the alternative movie experience. Recently went to a sing along event with the screening of Spice World - the movie. As a 90s child, it was so much fun :D Check out their website for upcoming FUN movie experiences!

It is a nice place, with a good program of movie. Just I feel strange when the cashier told me: when you enter to the cinema dont make noise. Maybe he doesnt know everybody knows that
Best cinema in town!! Always good and relevant - although sometimes old - movies. Great music movies and events. Psych-out b-movie nights.
It's awesome. Great opportunities to watch old classics. For very good prices.
So this is the absolute joke of the day. I am at the Cinemateket. There are free tickets for the Godfather but we cannot buy them because apparently you could only do it till a few days ago and buy it together with dinner. All of this even though the prices for the 2 films and a theme dinner are displayed separately and there nowhere saying you have to buy the combined evening program instead of a film. In the end it is just pathetic that there will be empty seats and we will not be allowed to buy tickets for it, all because of bad management and a badly setup ticket sales system.
Always prefer The Cinematheque to other places in city. Can't explain my emotions, it's probably because of the good things that have happened with me there. Will be soon back :)
I really enjoy this Cinema as it show's non mainstream movies, documentaries, biographies etc. For example this month they are showing a lot of music films and documentaries of which I really enjoyed \Mavis\. A real feel good movie. There's also events on occasion, a restaurant, a cafe and a book shop I suppose you could define it as. The location is just across from the Kings Gardens so keep that in mind if you're at loss of something to do on your visit to Copenhagen.
