For some maybe considered to be a bit on the pricy side, but very justifiable. Authentic Danish dishes, great quality, and a unique location right at the entrance of the forest. Have been here multiple times. Would recommend!

After a nice walk around Dyrehaven, Peter Lieps Hus is a welcome and “hyggelig” place to stop for a cup of coffee or if you have more time, like I was lucky enough to.... it’s a very nice place for lunch! The locals are super cozy. Tables are far enough apart where you can’t hear other people’s conversations but close enough to provide a hygge environment! Wait staff are attentive and friendly but not overbearing. The food is delicious and delightful! Highly recommend you share a piece of the “lagkage” so save room in the dessert room!
They seat you, you have to wait 15 minutes to take your order. They took my order and 10 minutes after they took it they say: “I am sorry I can not accomodate you. It is not possible to have an apple cake and a hot chocolate during lunch time” Excuse me? Then I ask ok where can I have the things that I ordered, do you have a bar area or sthg? And they say: “You are a grown woman you will figure it out” Extremely rude!

You have not been in Copenhagen, if you have not visited this place. Take your family out there. Only open to 5pm. And only serves lunch.A perfect place to start before you take your horse cab to see Dyrehaven. Two hours tour for four persons 1.250. d.kr. But worh every krone.During the summer time the place has more open hours with a little more on the menu
