The painter's villa still has the atmosphere of 100 years ago. You can imagine the life of his family while you enjoy the garden, the views and a cup of coffee.
The Johannes Larsen Museum in Kerteminde is a great place to visit if you are interested in the history of art. Johannes Larsen was a Danish painter who lived 1867-1961. The museum is divided into six parts: 1. Entrance and museum shop. 2. The villa. 3. The workshop. 4. The exhibition hall. 5. The park. 6. The old mill and the kitchen garden. There are guided tours to different areas of the museum at different times. The guided tours are free once you have paid your ticket. The museum is closed on Mondays.
Ver idyllic, much bigger than I thought
Great museum in a great atmosphere, be sure to see the botany house and the artworks by the museums namesake.
Surprisingly big, very idyllic.
Very interesting museum in a superb setting
Well, this is a charming very Danish museum in a nice town near the beach ( and mini golf for the kids). If you don't know him he is a discovery for all tastes. Food available, outside if it's warm.
