The flight went fine. The problem was at the check in, where they wouldn't clear my hand luggage. I was sent up to boarding without approval in Rom. It took me 20 minutes to get the approval. There was no reason other than she thought it wouldn't fit. The bag was 9 kilo and fit the measurements.
Worst flight of my life! We booked berlin-ny with this airline 3 months in advance. We received a notification the day before that we have been downgraded. We could cancel the flight for a refund (on Christmas - no possibility to find something else) or get a discount and flight anyway. We flew, BUT 1,5 hours delay in berlin, 2 hours delay in oslo, flight was now WAMOS (who in the name of satan will want to flew with that name on the side) and the service was terrible! Space was so scarce that my wife and I had to take turns to get all the way back on out sits. Food was an abomination. Service was an atrocity. No individual entertainment system. We where flying across the Atlantic for 8 hours, and the flight felt like a cheap national one from Paris to Rennes. How in the hell airlines are allowed to do that to their customers. We bought Norwegian airlines, we got flipping Wamos. At least they should be charged with false advertisising. NEVER PURCHASE WITH THIS AIRLINE! They punish customers that book in advance.
One of my favourite airlines. The SMS notices regarding gate numbers and so on are always ticking in before the screens in the airport has the info and that makes the journey way more pleasant.
Booked us on the wrong flight! The blonde at the ticket office was supposed to reschedule our cancelled flight to Miami, but instead but us on a flight to Fort Lauderdale. We were surprised to learn of this change when we checked in with Norwegian 10 minutes later. She put us right in the path of Hurricane Dorian! When we explained the mistake to the staff at the Norwegian check-in station, we were told “This isn’t the States. There is NO customer service for you two here.” This happened at 3:30pm at station #75.
I believe Norwegian Airlines have a new way of allowing boarding on planes based on their skin color. Recently i have been denied boarding on flight London - Copenhagen, as they said i was 2 mins too late, yes right 2 mins. 1. Even though the flight was delayed by 45 mins, 2. Even though i did not had any checkin luggage, 3. Even though they were allowing other passengers to drop off luggage for the same flight and 4. Even though i was unable to web check in as the airlines had technical issues. And the reason i hear is, ohh because you did not booked flight directly with Norwegian. Beware guys this is the new face and new policy of Norwegian Airlines.
Incompetent flight scheduling resulted in a 12 hour delay on our trip from Tromsø to Copenhagen. Norwegian has been uncooperative with regards to claims for compensation.
