If you love modern art, then this is the place to spend at least one day. The gallery is just 30 minutes by train from Copenhagen. The gallery has a very nice location on Danish coast. There is a large park. Some exhibits are place in the park actually. The building itself is a great piece of modern architecture. Giacometti is the main focus of the collection, but you can see also Yves Klein, Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois, Philip Guston, etc. The gallery also organised various installations and performances. I also liked gallery’s coffee shop.

I spent a whole day here and loved it. The museum building makes the experience extra pleasant, with the seaview on one side and a beautiful nature on the other. I will come again when the new collections arrive.

Absolutely stunning art pieces - very well curated. Use of space is intelligently taken advantage of because the area Louisiana Museum located is vast and green. The fact that the museum is right by the North Sea fills the environment up with tons of beautiful views. Humlebæk station is where you need to get off. Walk about 15 mins by following the signs right from the exit of the station. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the Humlebæk Station from Copenhagen Central Station. You could easily spend 5 hours here - they got cafes and restaurants where you can eat food and drink coffee as you wish.

It was a very nice museum where people are not panicky about visitors coming close to art works and such. Which creates a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of nice activities for children. A wide range of objects, books and clothing at the shops. Really friendly and helpful staff too. Regularly charges exhibitions and scenery. Furthermore still a museum of modern art, which is not more or less spectacular than a lot of other museums of this type.

Astonishing museum. Serenity all over. The location is absolutely breath taking, with the clear sea water below. The garden has such fresh greens with special planetary, colorful and just absolute beauty anywhere you look. The art inside is so well curated, and the establishment is so amazingly maintained. The museum store carries such an interesting collection of articles, makes you want to buy EVERY single item they offer. Pro tip: buy your entry ticket to the museum online, so you don’t have to stand at the long line while entering the place.

A really nice museum with good collections and exhibitions. The museum itself is interesting in its architecture and surroundings as well. It's definitely a place you can visit multiple times. The cafe also serves delicious and good quality food.

Best modern art museum in Denmark. Louisiana has always been forward thinking. They have many great new exhibition every year so even as a local you can come back almost once a month and see something new. The location is slightly outside Copenhagen but still easy to get to and the scenery is lovely on a summer's day. Open untill 22:00 on weekdays which makes it easy to visit late and still have time to enjoy it all. The cafe offers a lovely buffet new Nordic style with lovely Danish food. They have a children's workshop and is generally child friendly. Here's something for everyone who loves modern art in any form.

This place is an absolute gem, a bit outside if Copenhagen. Even if the current expos won't catch your interest (which i doubt) the surroundings and building itself makes it worth visiting!
