Lovely activity-\museum\ with a lot of creative activities for kids, also younger ones (it might be interesting beginning in the age of 4). It is running by absolutely helpful and nice people, explaining everything with patience to the kids and me. It is not a classical museum, more a creative space for little artists, and still not too popular - though it is nice to go also if you are a tourist and would like to go where the danes go: beyond the popular tourist places and big attractions. There are a lot of thoughts on how to do good education within the little house's concept.

Entry is 40kr per kid, 30 kr per adult. Activity workshops plus 30-100kr for ceramic decorating, soap, pancakes. Very small area to have a fresh air during weekend or day off. Good idea to celebrate kids birthday party. There is a place to eat your food or take some sweet and coffee in a cafe.
We booked it for our 6 years old birthday, and we were told that some one would take care of the kids and would show them two activities in two hours. Both activities were done in less than 45 minutes with very limited supervision and both my husband and I had to take care of 10 kids and entertained them for the remaining hour. Not what we expected at all ...
Pretty nice place to spend time during bad weather
Børnemuseet is filled with fun activities for young kids. They can paint, make lip balm, soap bars and many other things. All is very well organized and the staff is extremely helpful. At the entrance, it's possible to buy tokens (small golden children coins/dollars) that can be spent on materials and activities throughout the museum house. Our kids love it and they just finished making their own blue and purple soap bars ;)
Always a pleasure to be there with my daughter, and sometimes with her grandmother. You feel home.
