Brasseriet er startet og drevet af familien Belli, som har rødder tilbage i det gamle cirkus. Vi laver ærlig mad af gode kvalitetsrÃ¥varer ogsÃ¥ fra lokale leverandører: æbler fra mormor Bittens gamle æbletrær og produkter fra brødrene Belli’s urtehave. Der er mange minder knyttet til mad. Lugt og smag kan uventet kaste os tilbage i tiden. ‘God gammeldags’ er det vi kalder det. Circus Belli Cirkus Belli var i mange Ã¥r det største og et af de mest berømte cirkusser i Danmark. Metha Belli, som ejede cirkusset, arbejdede det pÃ¥ fÃ¥ Ã¥r op fra et lille omrejsende cirkus til et stort cirkus med mange spændende artister fra hele verden. Et af de største kup Metha Belli gjorde, var at fÃ¥ den verdens berømte cowboy helt Tom Mix til cirkusset. Cirkus Belli havde sin sidste sæson i 1956, da Metha Belli døde, netop i Aarhus. Cirkus traditionen blev dog fortsat af Metha Bellis barnebarn, min far Leo Belli, som blev luftartist. Luftartist blev jeg ogsÃ¥ i cirkus Krone, inden jeg uddannede mig som kok. No reservation, just walked in, friendly warm welcoming. Fast and informative service with no stress. Short menu, no fancy over priced dishes, well prepared, aim is quality with some small details showing a will to stick out (without experimenting) The starter, mushroom soup was robust, tasty and with a nice touch of truffle oil. I got a extra portion without asking for it (nice service). Main dish, a nice Boeuf Bourguignon, with somewhat to soft mashed potato, making it together with the sauce a bit sloppy. Never the less very tasty. Desert, a chocolate cake with ice cream was on the paper a not so interesting end of a nice dinner. But I was actually, and surprised, impressed by the simplicity of it and balance of the flavours. The house wine, not assessed in detail, although it did good with the strong flavours of the food. The 5 star rating is for the package of the experience - service was good at a dinner not too little and not to much, with a very reasonable price for a enjoyable dinner, 250 DKK. (Wine excluded)

Food was not of best quality (no fresh vegies, dry salmon, no fresh mushrooms for the soup), neither a lot. Quite expensive as well.

Good service and tasty good value for money has to be the headline here. Their menu for an evening meal is limited to a set course and some starters and main courses. Somewhat varied and there seems to be a little for all tastes and needs. The taste is good without being top class. Lacking a little quality maybe on the wine selection. The set course wine menu when choosing the set course is ok but could be better matched. It is sort of standard. The value is from a good above average size meal with an ok standard comparing to other restaurants on this level and above. That would amount to 3 \stars\ here. However. The service was excellent. Attention to detail when serving and a smile to go in addition to friendly and helpful explanation to the different courses. Which certainly goes a long way towards a general good experience!

Great food and an overall good experience. I recommend a visit, if you don't mind limited options for entré, main and dessert (two or three options respectively). I personally like the concept. My last time there, though, quite a few people were there and we felt the serverings were a bit hurried, despite us asking for some time between the main course and desert.
